Method 1: Toggle on flashlight mode with a single tap
In Android 5.0 Lollipop, the toggle switch for the flashlight is built right into the quick settings. For opening Google Assistant, you need to hold down the home button. And after a few, seconds, the Google Assistant will appear. Now, you can command it to turn on the flashlight. When you want to turn it off, just command Google Assistant to do the same.
In case you cannot give verbal commands or are in a noisy place where Google Assistant is not able to understand you, then you can type out the instructions. Just launch Google Assistant, touch the keyboard option in the lower left-hand edge and input this text: turn on the flashlight.
Here are the stepwise instructions:
  • Hold down the home button.
  • This will bring up Google Assistant.
  • Now, just command: “Okay Google, activate my flashlight.”
Method 4: Use a gesture on OnePlus
In case you have a OnePlus phone, then you can activate your flashlight easily. You just have to draw the V letter on the locked screen of your phone. However, to use this gesture, you need to enable it first.
  • Launch the Settings app on your OnePlus phone.
  • Select the Gestures option from the menu.
  • Now, turn on the option for Toggle flashlight.
  • After that, you can just draw the V letter on the screen when it is turned off.
