Network printer is a printer which is paired to the network connection, and you can use it from the other computers. Steps to Install a Standalone Printer
• Pair a network printer. This procedure depends on the version of the printer you are currently using. Some of the modern printers can be pair to the network by using the Wi-Fi. Other printers can be pair through the Ethernet cable, and it should be kept close to the Wi-Fi router so that the Ethernet cable to be workable.
For Windows
In case you wish to install the important programs on the system, then you have to click on the ‘Add a Printer” option so that the installation procedure starts automatically.
1. Press on the Start window and after that, choose the “Control Panel” menu.
2. In case you are using Windows 8, then tap on the Windows key and after that, enter the “control panel” on the search bar.
3. Choose the “Devices and Printers” or “View devices and printers” option.
4. Tap on the “Add a printer” option located at the upper side of the screen.
5. Choose the “Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer” option.
6. Choose one of the network printers by going to the menu list.
7. After that, tap on the “Next” button.
8. Now, you need to start installing all the important drivers.
For Mac
Follow the steps given below to start paring the network printer:
1. Tap on the Apple menu and after that, choose the “System Preferences” option.
2. Press on the “Print and Scan” button.
3. Keep pressing on the plus option located at the end of the available printers list.
4. Choose the printer which you wish to install from the given list.
5. In case you are not able to find the printer which you wish to install on the system, then you need to fix that issue.
6. Press on the Download and Install option.
• Start sending prints to a network printer. After adding the printer which you wish to install to the computer and you start printing.
• Ensure that the printer is enabled and you are connected to the same network.
